چکیده

Abstract The laser welding experiment of Nb521 niobium-tungsten alloy with 1.0mm thickness was carried out, and the effects different edge preparation states, including fast wire cutting + milling slow no milling, on weld formation were analyzed. results show that weldability is very good. parameters are in a wide range, good can be obtained easily. effect states small, all welded joints broken base metal zone far away from beam. Based welding, forming analysis argon arc repair out. defects such as cracks oxidation could controlled effectively by optimizing process. When ratio range 30% to 50%, still have tensile properties. average strength reaches 98.9% elongation after fracture 83.8% metal.

Laser Welding of Aluminium Alloy 5083

There are two laser welding mechanisms, keyhole mode and conduction mode. Keyhole welding is widely used because it produces welds with high aspect ratios and narrow heat affected zones. However keyhole welding can be unstable, as the keyhole oscillates and closes intermittently. This intermittent closure causes porosity due to gas entrapment. Conduction welding, on the other hand, is more stab...

Research on Robust Control of Gas Tungsten arc Welding System with the LMI Approach

Abstract: By using the Lyapunov second method, the robust control and robust optimal control for the gas tungsten arc welding dynamic process whose underlying continuous-time systems are subjected to structured uncertainties are discussed in time-domain. As results, some sufficient conditions of robust stability and the corresponding robust control laws are derived. All these results are design...

The Welding and Brazing of the Refractory Metals Niobium, Tantalum, Molybdenum and Tungsten - a Review*

This review covers the present and future problems in the development and welding of niobium, tantalum, molybdenum and tungsten and their alloys. Their metallurgical characteristics are discussed together with the influence of impurities and alloying elements on mechanical properties, alloy development and weldability. Other factors briefly discussed are availability, high temperature strength,...

Gas tungsten arc welding

Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), also known as tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, is an arc welding process that uses a nonconsumable tungsten electrode to produce the weld. The weld area is protected from atmospheric contamination by a shielding gas (usually an inert gas such as argon), and a filler metal is normally used, though some welds, known as autogenous welds, do not require it. A const...
